The Taiwan stock market closed the day with a decrease, driven by negative dynamics in the electronics and machinery sectors. The Taiwan Weighted index fell by 1.19%, showing a significant decline.

TSEC Corp and Sinkang Industries shares were the leaders in growth, both companies showed an increase in value by 9.84%, closing at 20.65. Lan Fa Textile shares also performed well, adding 9.13% and finishing the session at 12.55.

However, among the leaders in decline were Posiflex Technology shares, which dropped by 7.25% to 313.50. Also, negative dynamics were observed in Shin Tai Industry shares, which fell by 6.60%, ending the day at 87.70.

The overall market condition also reflected in trading volumes, where the number of declines exceeded the number of rises. Sinkang Industries shares reached a 52-week high, and Lan Fa Textile a 3-year high.

In commodity markets, there was an increase in WTI oil futures (+0.25%), Brent oil (+0.22%), and gold (+0.31%).

In the currency market, the USD/TWD rate rose by 0.09%, reaching 32.80, while TWD/CNY showed no changes.
